Exmouth, UK -Bosun to launch Kickstarter campaign to fund their first collection of watches inspired by maritime heritage
KICKSTARTER EDITIONS
In November 2017 Bosun will launch a crowdfunding campaign to fund the production of a first edition series of minimalist timepieces based on the theme of sailing.
With a design inspired by simplicity, this is an English watch brand with Swiss components that promotes transparency of costs and development.
DESIGN
We wanted to make a watch that reflected English simplicity and class but also have the reliability of a swiss movement.
“Our design, engineering and production processes relentlessly pursue this objective, our direct-to-consumer sales model cuts out distributors, wholesalers and retails stores” said Joyce. “By avoiding all the middle men we can offer a hand crafted high-end luxury watch without an artificially inflated price tag”.

Growing up surrounded by the sea and having a love of sailing, Louis Joyce and Mark Hewett came up with the concept of the watch back in 2016, when they wanted to make quality and luxury watches accessible to everyone.
They designed a collection suitable for both men and women, using
exquisite Swiss movement, scratch resistant sapphire glass and a range of swappable straps in
genuine leather, stainless-steel mesh and rugged canvas

Bosun will launch on the popular crowd funding site Kickstarter in November for a 30 day campaign and is looking to raise £20,000 (Approx $25,850 USD). Perks include a ‘super early bird’ price of £70 (Approx $87 USD) for one watch in either silver or rose gold finish, saving £50.
